great if your a child building toys

Absolute piece of junk! I am a construction professional and own a farm, I bough this for my shop at home, I have owned multiple drill presses and still have two others, this one the handles on the table drive are plastic, the internal gears are plastic, the table is stamped steel, the base is stamped steel, you cant even drill plywood without the table deflecting (bending) for $10 more you get a cast iron one from many other companies including Harbor Freight. When we went to put it together, the bolt holes for the column holding the head that are cast in junk Aluminum DONT LINE UP WITH THE THREADED HOLES IN THE BASE, we had to use a rat tail file to open all 4 holes up closer to the center, most of the fittings are either plastic or aluminum which is junk in this application, the depth guide is plastic and junk, this drill press isnt even good enough to use in a home ec class to simply demonstrate what a drill press is, if you are going to buy this drill press, think twice burn your money it will be less disappointing than buying this piece of junk and it breaking on day 1 because it is so poorly made, not to mention the time waste trying to put together tis piece of junk that can barely drill soft woods and is NOT RATED TO DRILL METAL, read the description carefully
