Build your lawn with Scotts Kentucky 31 Grass Seed Mix for new lawns and overseeding. This grass seed mix contains a curated blend of seeds that offer benefits beyond what Kentucky 31 alone can provide, so you can grow a thicker, greener lawn vs other Kentucky 31 mixes (see label for details). In addition to Kentucky 31 Tall Fescue for durability and less maintenance, this mix also contains heat- and drought-tolerant (once established) Premium Tall Fescue for dense, green cover and quick-growing Annual Ryegrass. With this grass seed mix, you'll see results in as few as 5 days! The ideal time for planting this grass seed mix is during the spring or fall seasons, when the average daily soil temperature stays consistently between 60°F and 75°F, or air temperature between 65°F and 85°F. We recommend using a Scotts spreader to apply this product, following recommended settings on the label. One 40 lb. bag has a new coverage of 3,330 sq. ft. and an overseeding coverage of 10,000 sq. ft.

This Scotts lawn seed was nicely packaged and easy to use. The white color of the seed made it easy to see when spreading out on the freshly tilled dirt. The seed is easy to spread and is already starting to grow as advertised. Great product!

Absolutely love Kentucky blue grass!

Huge fan of Kentucky blue grass. My yard is fuller then it was. Ill have to treat the clovers and weeds again but this grass grows quick and thick. After a decent height mow its soft and striped beautifully. Highly recommend this seed for any yard no matter the size.

Good germination After Yard Repair Work

I used a grass seed after Plumbers dug up my front yard and left bear soil behind over the winter. We added fresh topsoil and then sprinkled the Scott’s Kentucky 31 grass seed mix. As the photos show, we were able to get grass growing again very successfully. Overall, the process was pretty easy and straightforward, and I am pleased with the result. I do think I used a bit too much straw in some areas which may have blocked some of the seeds from sprouting evenly, so there are a few thinner spots, but most of the yard filled in well. I plan to do a light re seeding this coming fall, using the same seat to improve coverage even more.
