Q: How fast will the grass grow I need to repair a few spots before an open house in 2 weeks.

- A: As with any seed, Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair Sun And Shade requires both moisture and warm soil temperatures. When one of these conditions is missing, poor germination is the result. If Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair Sun And Shade is applied in early spring, when temperatures and moisture are inconsistent, seed development will be sparse. Before using Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair Sun And Shade, prepare the area by removing the dead grass and loosening the soil. Apply to mostly cover the area but with bare ground still visible, 1/16 inch to 1/8 inch layer of product to bare spots. Water until the seeded area is dark brown. Once your daytime temperatures are consistently above 65 degrees, you will see germination in 7 - 14 days.11 months agoHelpful?
Q: Will this product grow on a clay dam wall of a pond

- A: Scotts EZ Seed North will initially grow in any soil type or location, whether it will establish for the long term depends upon: Soil pH, amount of sunlight the area receives. Make up of the soil, i.e. turf grasses do not grow well in straight sand but the varieties used in our EZ Seed products should grow fine in a sandy soil, sand mixed with loam and clay.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: do you need to put straw or anything over the seed, putting it on a grave site in Kentucky and having a hard time with anything else growing on it, any other prep suggestions would be greatly appreciated

MAJOR FAIL! Bought 7 bags, followed all instructions to the t, planted in perfect weather, etc, etc, etc. Maybe 20 seeds germinated out of 7 bags. (It is now 3 weeks after patching). Hundreds of dollars and many hours of my time wasted. You were warned!!

I have never had any issue with Scott products. I had not used this specific seed, but am excited to see how this works. The grass growth has been lacking in my backyard and I can’t wait to see this product in action.

Scott’s turf builder always works well for us. We have a lot of dry and bald patches in our lawn. The turf builder helps so much. It’s easy to apply and maintain. It continues to repair our grass and help make it thick.

All in one made simple

I am very impressed with this bag. I had a spot that needed soiling where the dogs have been running in and out. Seeds is mixed with soil improved material and fertilizer an 3 in 1 mix to help get your grass growing. Once the ground was ready I sowed the grass seed and covered with hay to keep the birds from eating. Simple and easy to sow and what I liked the best was everything all in one bag to make it simple and fast. Due to drought I am watering morning and evenings which due to climate is taking longer than expected for growth. No fault to the grass. I have noticed tiny fresh grass starting to grow and so far no weeds have been detective. The texture of the grass that is growing is young And tender. And the consistency looks eventually through out. I am very pleased with the results so far. If you’re looking for something simple and all in one. I highly recommend this product.
