Great Coop

This is better than I expected. Great quality. I got one from Temu and it was junk. More space that you think for 6 chickens. I love it and will add another one next year.

Tractor Supply has unreliable website

Took a long time to search for a coop with key items. Shows "AVAILABLE" on line in white and white/brown. Ordered yesterday, and now status shows "Cancelled" and tracking shows "unavailable". Rep said that system shows 52 in stock, but warehouse cancelled since NOT available. Very frustrating since reps said the inventory apparently has not been updated. I noticed the item is still showing as available for someone else to attempt to purchase online.

Easy assembly and good value

Other than having to drill pilot holes for the roof panels, assembly was relatively straight-forward. It also wasn't clear from the instructions the orientation of the run panels (hint: the fencing on the run panels goes towards the inside of the run). Our ducks love it and it blends in nicely to our yard.

Don’t Buy This Coop

The Producers Pride Hill Country Chicken Coop is cute but very poorly constructed. I like that it has plenty of room for my 6 chickens, but there are othet practical issues that make me regret my purchase. I’ve only had this coop 3 weeks and am already having significant problems with it. The nesting boxes are too narrow and not deep enough so the chickens have not wanted to use them. The door going into the coop from the run is made of a press board that swelled up with the first rain and now won’t open and shut. Every day I have to crawl into the run and have to open and close the coop door with a mallet and shim. This is not practical, so I ordered an automatic door, but the door size on this coop is irregular so I couldn’t find a single door that would fit the opening. So now, I il have to hire a handyman again to cut some wood to fill the gap between the new automatic door and the opening for the coop door. I already paid a handyman $100 to set the coop up. All of these “fixes” are making this coop extremely expensive, not to mention my time, which is also costly. At this point, I can’t afford to return the coop and start over, so my only recourse is just to spend a few hundred dollars more to try to get it functional. Don’t by this coop. You get what you pay for and this coop is too expensive even for what I paid for it.

Recently purchased. Very easy to put together. Overall we are pleased with the product. Dont have chickens yet so we will see how they like it. Only issue we have is unfortunately one of the most important parts. The slide barrel locks are useless. They do not stay locked. Good gust of wind and the gate opens. We have a lot of raccoons here and they would get in very easily. We have been trying different alternatives for locks, but dealing with the metal frame has been a struggle. Any suggestions? Otherwise we are happy with it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Solid Chicken Coop

Good sized coop seems to be sturdy enough. Some gaps that need filled for the cold months and some other minor tweaks.
