Preferred ingredients- and organic

As others have said, this feed is finely ground/powdery, looking totally different than pellet or crumble! BUT, I began hydrating (yes mixing with water) -and I use a non GMO small pellet feed (-2/3 of batch) and this Cluck&Co organic layer- (1/3 of batch) - I use half of what I would use in dry food. My girls LOVE this hydrated food- they attack it every morning! RE- hydrating food is an extra step, but it helps you use only half the regular amount of feed, it is far more digestible, plus the bonus of less water drinking and less chicken poo! Look up "rehydrating chicken feed" on Pinterest! I give them dry scratch (also Cluck&Co Organic w/other good stuff) ) at night to get in the pen and prep for bed. I've been doing this 2 weeks- my girls look healthier. if I'd done it longer w/good results I'd give 5 stars.

Dust

This must be a joke, literally the only organic option and I had to buy it since my girls were completely out. I dumped the bag and it’s practically all dust. Like no substance. If you ferment your feed then your birds should be good. But it’s literally 90% dust. A terrible waste of money.

Terrible quality

I had been pretty happy with this feed until recently. The last two bags of feed were 50% dust. My chickens pick through it and refuse to eat a majority of it what a waste of money.

It was way too powdery. They really didn’t need it.

Good ingredients, poor consistency

I get it when I can't make it all the way to my usual feed store. It's more expensive but I go with it because of the ingredients. My chickens eat it fine but it's a powder. I've never seen an organic brand with this consistency. If my chickens didn't eat it, I wouldn't bother with it.
