Q: This Q&A page an answer said 1 percent of body weight for small breeds. My growing kids r about 13-14 pounds so that is 208-224 ounces does that mean 2 ounces of feed? Sounds too little, on bag said 1-2 pounds per day growing kids. Been giving 1/3-1/2 #

- A: Hello there! The 1% recommendation for small breeds applies to when they are adults. The 1-2 lb. range is meant for weaned goats that are average sized breeds. Depending on age, your 1/3lb.-1/2 lb. is correct. As long as they are in good condition and steadily gaining weight, we would recommend continuing what you're doing. Q: If stored in the original packaging in an enclosed shed, how long will the product remain fresh unopened? How long would it remain fresh if stored in sealed containers instead of the original packaging?

- A: Hello! We recommend all of our feeds be transferred to sealed containers and placed in moderate temperatures. The organic feeds should last six months or more if stored this way. Great feed bad bags

Love the feed worked amazing as a creep feed and got my picky dairy doe to eat was the first thing last year's kids would eat and helped get weight on them
My only issue is the bags so I've transitioned to a different brand the bags don't store well even in air tight containers I'd get mold if I'd stored for more than a few weeks in unopened bags so could only purchase one bag at a time and was constantly going back to the store to buy more (wasting fuel) and they don't have a pull tab to open so it's a bit more of a fight to get the sacks of feed opened
No, I do not recommend this product.

The ingredient list has changed to general "grain products" instead of the specific still listed online as I'm writing this. I specifically used to choose this product for YEARS because of the clearly defined ingredients. I will now be phasing it out and looking for another.
