Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too big The grit size is too big. I dont know if my bag was unique but the baby chicks could not eat it. Got the dumor and they gobbled it up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value Good value pound for pound for certified organic grower. I let them free range all day and then feed this mixed with some other fruits or veggie scraps I have. I raise meat chickens.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good price for peace of mind For a 40 lb bag, tractor supply strives to keep the price reasonable, especially for organic. My babies were on this feed this year and their feathers came in beautifully, and their first eggs arrived weeks before I expected them. They are happy, healthy, and got off to the best start possible with this feed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feed my chicks are about 20 weeks old and have been on this feed since the first day I got them. They are healthy and beautiful and I will slowly start the layer pellets. This is the second set of chicks I've rsised and they are the healthiest. Costs a few dollars more but well worth it.

Hi... Do you need to feed "grit" to chicks along with this product?

Asked by: emadat
If chicks are not in an area where they can get into other things, like eating bugs, then they are fine with just the starter/grower and no grit. Otherwise, you can introduce grit into their diet.
