chickens love it, I love that it is organic & GMO free! Use pellets because crumbles tend to be 40% powder...way too much waste with crumbles. Very little waste with pellets.

my chicken stopped laying egg on this feed

I went from 3 eggs a day out of 5 chickens to 1 egg a week! As soon as I changed the feed to another brand, my chicken started laying again. Then I ran out of the other brand and since I had bought two bags of the DuMOr organic, I gave it another shot and sure enough, my chicken stopped laying again. I don't think there is the amount of protein advertised on these bags. I have an almost full bag left that is no good. For now I'll be using the other brand even though it's not organic but at least I'm getting eggs!

Used to be my “go-to” feed

I’ve fed this to my chickens for years and had great egg production. Recently, that all changed. The pellets are more dust than ever before, and my chickens have quit laying. Don’t know if it’s the feed or something else. Friends tell me to change feed first and wait.

Changed egg size, shell thickness, reduced product

Store was out of my regular organic feed. Purchased a few bags of this. Within a week, egg size reduced to bantam size from extra large. Shells were thin. Production stopped. Changed back to the other stuff and eggs went back to normal. It’s not rocket science.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Thin eggshells

While I like that it's organic, the eggshells my hens produce while on this feed are very thin and break in the nesting box or in my hand with very little pressure. I have to supplement with oyster shell to correct the problem. With as much as the feed costs, the extra cost of adding something else is not good. Do better, Dumor.
