Sulfate does not "correct alkalinity"

This product is a great source of magnesium and sulfur, but tour website says the sulfur helps correct alkalinity, and that is not true. Similar to gypsum (calcium sulfate), epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) does not change the soil pH. Elemental sulfur acidifies the soil, but sulfate does not. Some sulfate-containing products do acidify the soil (for example, aluminum sulfate, ammonium sulfate), but in those examples, it is the cation, not the anion, that acidifies the soil. Since epsom salts add magnesium without changing the soil pH, is is particularly useful around acid-loving evergreens where dolomite lime cannot be used due to it's liming (pH-raising) effect.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Just as it says. I used this to make a safe weed killer for my family with dawn soap, epsom salt, and vinegar and it worked beautifully!
