I have sandy soil, is this product slow release for that type of soil or should I seek another product?

10-10-10 is all quick release Nitrogen ( not really a good overall fertilizer for Lawns) TSC Lawn food has slow release and is excellent for all types soil 1 bag covers 15,000 sq.ft

Yes, it can. Over application can cause burn depending on the environment. Coverage should be for lawns @ 10,000. soft.

Is this product easily soluble in water? Can I mix it in a barrel of water and use it to inject into my tree drip system?

It is not meant to be a water soluble type Fertilizer. It will not mix well.

Keep animals off the lawn after application until ample rainfall has occurred to move fertilizer into soil profile.
