Rated 3 out of 5 by from Did the Job Works well and did the job. Very pleases with the wheels and rolling over uneven ground. But I agree with post below, why is it throwing product behind and not out in front. I ended up with boots full of fertilizer. I purchased this already assembled and haven't taken the time to take it apart to find out why it's throwing the wrong way. Is it supposed to throw back at you?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very bad product This spreader is terrible. It threw the product out back instead of out front.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from price good on sale This spreader worked well the first season, used twice. the second year it has broked in three different places each time used. Hope they improve the fragile parts, could have been easily improved

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spreader review Works well, built well. High capacity. Recommend taking one of the pins out of the wheels so you can turn it easier as both wheels are locked into the shaft if not.

How to I replace the small plastic lever that controls how much material is spread.  I've used the spreader 3 times and the plastic lever broke!

Asked by: Bushby
Replacement parts can be ordered from Tractor Supply Co parts (888) 376-9601. This spreader has been updated from earlier models with plastic parts. It now includes metal components for improved durability.

Is there away to know what settings to use for specific fertilizers? I use Site One fertilizers and their website doesn't list this spreader?

Asked by: Jdel
Because products differ in application rates it is best to calibrate the spreader setting as follows: 1. Verify the amount of fertilizer that should be used for your lawn included on the bag label. 2. Weigh out the correct amount and add to the spreader hopper. 3. Select a low setting on the controller and spread on a premarked area of 1,000 sq. ft. 4. Weigh the remaining contents of the hopper to determine how much was used on 1,000 sq. ft. 5. Adjust the setting up or down as required to increase or decrease coverage. The proper setting is achieved when the hopper runs out at the end of the area to be covered.

Would this work as a topsoil/mulch spreader?

Asked by: Tony999
It can work as a topsoil/mulch spreader only when filler is dry and granulometric, it cannot be spread when wet and agglomerated.
