A great quality combination sander at a reasonable price. The stationary G0787 4" x 36" Horizontal/Vertical Belt Sander with 6" Disc offers all the control and power you need for sanding smaller workpieces. Compact design is great for the smaller workshop. The 4" x 36" sanding belt tilts from 0°–90°, allowing both vertical and horizontal belt sanding. For a full range of replacement belts for the G0787, shop here.

The back stop supports workpieces on the belt sander in any position.

The 6-1/4" W x 9" L work table supports workpieces when using the 6" sanding disc. It tilts from 0°–45°. Replacement PSA sanding discs are available in a variety of grits.

The belt tensioning lever provides tension to the sanding belt when pushed in and releases the tension when pulled out for changing belts.

A tracking control knob allows the user to adjust the alignment of the sanding belt to the sanding bed.

Additional features include a built-in an adjustable miter gauge, 2-1/2" dust port, and work table angle scale.

Like all Grizzly benchtop machines, the G0787 comes with a 1-year warranty which covers parts and assures the unit is free from factory defects.

The G0787 manual was written by the U.S. based Grizzly Technical Documentation Department and is packed with useful information. The complete and easy-to-read manual makes it easier to assemble and maintain your sander.

Machine great, dust collection and table are not.

Overall this is a good sander at a good value and accessible price for the small workshop. It does the job well and is easy to set up and adjust as far as the belt and disc are concerned. The reason I deducted a star is because the dust control doesn’t do much even with a powerful dust extractor attached- I’m working to improvise a more effective hood at the end of the belt so 80% of the dust doesn’t sail right over it like the existing one. Second reason for the deduction is the table. It’s flimsy and fiddly to install/position, and getting it to an accurate angle setting is nearly impossible. The fasteners on the table are difficult to access and even once they’re tightened down the table will flex and shift under minimal load during use. Again I’m working on constructing something myself to replace it, which even on a machine at this price range I should not have to do.

Disappointing. Not for precision work.

The table is a joke. No matter how tightly it is fastened there is too much play to do precision work. The change out from horizontal to vertical belt position is not user friendly, requiring removal and reinsertion of hardware. I miss my old Delta. The table was mounted securely and the switch from horizontal to vertical was tool less.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Powerless

I'm a big Grizzly fan. I own several Shop Fox and Grizzly tools, and they've always performed well. This is the first Grizzly tool in just not happy with. Simply put, it's weak. The first time I used it a was sanding some cedar picket cut-offs and it could barely handle it. The slightest bit of pressure bogs this machine down. You would think that it could handle a soft, dry wood like cedar. Not sure what I'm going to do with this thing.
