Don’t waste you time or hard earned money

Totally worthless 😪 Not enough room to get it on the oilfilter of my 2000 ford ranger 3-L V6 Starter is right up against my oil filter, almost touching it.

Working as a service tech for a large equipment rental company has some challenging things to work on. We've recently got in a ton of Polaris commercial diesel UTVs. There is a fuel/water separator behind & under the rear seat and forward of the engine. It can be tough to get much in there for a tool and to be able to have room to move. At first I tried the filter pliers on a few units and while it "works" it crushes the canister to the point you doubt it's even going to come off. I then tried the 3 jaw kind which worked pretty well but you have to remove the plastic drain from the separator and get a ratchet to fit underneath stuff. I found this tool which is small enough to grab the canister and it works amazing. On the last 2 units I did that day, they were the easiest by far. The band can slip under the canister and still leave enough room to work with. Having it compress equally around the canister requires less effort to get it to loosen. I think the only complaint is the handle (sleeve) can try to slide off the tool during use. I'm also unsure how long the rubber/vinyl coating on the band will last.
