Gardner Flexx-Gard Rubberized Premium Fibered Asphalt Roof & Foundation Coating, 5 gal. is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well I purchased a 4.75 gallon bucket of Flexx-Gard to use on a small flat roof over our sun porch. Even though it is late in the year (November) it cured within hours and sealed a troublesome leak. It was applied at 50 degrees with rain forecast in the next 36 hours, and even with only one coat it worked. For fibered roof coating it is very easy to apply but allow yourself a half hour or longer to stir. Great product...now I'm hoping for one more clear 50 degree day so I can apply the second coat. Highly recommend.

I'm looking to put this on my fence posts before I set them. That way its weatherproof. #1- Is this a good idea? #2- should I use treated or no treated lumber? The entire post will be coated.

Asked by: BigBeamer77
Thanks for your interest in Gardner Flexx-Gard. Flexx-Gard is formulated for use on wood to preserve and damp-proof below grade. New treated wood will repel coatings. For more information about Flexx-Gard, including preparation and application, check out the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) on the product page of our website. www.gardnercoatings.com

2 questions: Can I use this to seal the exposed wood on my new chicken coop? Can I paint over it? Like with exterior latex paint?

Asked by: PalmerChris
Yes it will coat over the wood and seal it. You can paint over it, however you may see some discoloration of the paint with light colors.

Can this product be used by itself to deal a mobile home or just as a primer.

Asked by: Wolverineme
Thanks for your question. You didn't reference the type of roof on your home. You can apply Gardner Flexx-Gard to metal or asphalt roofing. This product shouldn't be used on EPDM, Hypalon, TPO or PVC surfaces (singly ply or synthetic roofs).

Will it serve to coat the exterior bottom plywood of a camper?

Asked by: Wildbuc
It will work to be a moisture barrier, but not 100% waterproof. If you want 100% waterproof, use the Black Jack Silicone Coating. It will be a great option for you.

Can I put this on my roof that has roll roofing on it or what should I use

Asked by: Jep 90
The best product for your roll roofing is Black Jack Infinity Silicone Roof Coating. This would be the best choice. If you want a less expensive option, use the Gardner Silver Dollar Roof Coating. Thanks and good luck with the project.
