The water softener salt crystals are also formulated to resist mushing and bridging, minimizing the accumulation of brine tank residue. It is recommended that you use these low insoluble solar salt crystals for all side-by-side water softeners.Note: Brand may vary by store. This is the salt that is suggested for our type of water softener. The service at Tractor Supply was excellent: I ordered and paid for it online. I received a text immediately saying they received my order and then within 5 minutes I received another text saying it was ready for pick up. They loaded the bags into my car and away I went...easy peasy.

Advertised one product & not the right one!

They substituted to another brand that wasn't a solar salt. They told me It was the same ingredients? I have to check with by water purifier company to see if it is usable. If not I'll have to return it. Lifting forty pounds times ten back into my trunk. If they're going to substitute something, they need to put it on the website that it is a substitute and what it actually is. I had to drive to another city to get this and I didn't appreciate it when I found out it wasn't the right product. This is false advertising.
