EZ-Straw Straw Seeding Mulch is processed straw with a bonding agent for tackiness which holds it together. Protecting grass seed from heavy washout and windy areas, this seeding mulch speeds up germination. Simply leave the seeding mulch in place after the seed grows. Twice cut and processed for easy application, your garden can flourish with this seeding mulch.

This product is excellent for seeding, I am a professional landscaper and we use EZ straw all the time. Even if you water new seed daily, it can still dry out if not covered, which will quickly kill the seed. EZ straw solves that problem very simply and because it's chopped so finely it won't leave a huge mess like regular straw.

Full of grass seed

I used this last year for my vegetable garden and flowerbeds. I ended up with some type of grass growing in all the beds where I used this. And it wasn't the grass from my lawn. Took me forever to get it weeded out. If you're using to cover/grow grass seed - probably fine. But for other beds, I'd proceed with caution.

I have used this multiple times, to help grow grass. I like since so less messy than straw bale and its in plastic if i dont use it all i can wrap up and put in garage without animals getting into ut

The last 3 bags of this EZ seed straw are supposed to be 99% weed free. My raised beds are now full of grass. I emailed the company and called them as well, with no response.
