Stylish fit, runs big

Found this jacket recommendation on r/HerOneBag and it perfectly fit my need for a lightweight, packable, layerable, stylish rainshell with a defined or cinchable waist. I have a Marmont 3-in-1 jacket but the outer rain layer is hot and heavy and makes me look like a bag. I'm 5'3'', 150lbs, 34DD/E bra, 40'' hips, 32'' waist, and 39'' bust, usually a size 10 in pants and dresses. I originally ordered a large based on the fit guide but it was comically ginormous so I returned and repurchased a medium. The medium still fits almost a bit too big, but I worry that if I size down more I won't be able to layer a fleece under or cross my arms, so I'm gonna stick with it for now. The cinchable waist and the shirttail hem are key to making this rainshell look actually stylish on my plump hourglass frame instead of like an athletic bag, and why I'm very satisfied with this product. Docking a star because: - the canoe color appeared more yellow online but its a true khaki. I'm hoping its giving trench vibes - I wish the grey ties at waist and neck were a more coordinating, not contrasting, color for the canoe colorway - the jacket smelled like plastic fish when it first arrived. I'm hoping this will come out in the wash.

Would be great, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a great jacket, but the spice color is MUCH darker than it appears, it's more of a deep burgundy, NOT PINK (which is what I wanted). Also, it smells really, really bad. I will try to wash it to see if that helps.

Terrible stench

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The jacket smells awful! I let it air out for two days because I thought it was just the smell of the packaging. After 2 days, it still stunk, so I followed the care directions and washed it. It still smells terrible and I’m not sure what else to do. It is unfortunate since I can no longer return it, but I also don’t want to wear it and be stinky!
