Chill-Its Economy Evaporative Cooling Towel

The Evaporative Cooling Towel truly was amazing. It’s gets hot working in the sun all day long but this towel wrapped around your next helps cool you down a bit to keep working. I like to tuck in the towel in my shirt so I can cool my chest down as well, I also place it under me helmet to keep my head cool. And you can feel the difference. I really like that you can use both hot and cold water to active the towel. It’ll get cold no matter what. And I usually only have to wet it twice in a day.

Chill-Its 6601 cooling towel is one of the best cooling towels I've used so far. Lasts 3 hours as advertised, it was 91 today and it was wonderful to have on all day. Its definitely a worthwhile investment if your out in the hot sun all day working or playing. The chill-it is made of a very thick material that holds the moisture.

As a Crew Chief for a Water Damage Restoration company in Columbia, SC, the heat has been especially brutal this summer. We’re often working in tight spaces, tearing out wet stuff, and dealing with all kinds of conditions where you’re just sweating non-stop. I’ve been using the Ergodyne Chill-Its 6601 Lightweight Evaporative Cooling Towel every single day all day, and it’s earned its way as my go-to piece of gear. Super easy to use. You just run it under water for a minute or so until it’s soaked, wring it out, give it a little wave, and it’s ready. I usually wear it around my neck while I’m directing the crew or pitching in with the heavy stuff. Right away a cooling feeling takes over, and it takes the edge off when the sun’s beating down on me. On a single soak it gives me a good 2-3 hours before I need to re-wet it, bout how long I am at a site. In my line of work, I can’t stop every few minutes to try and cool down. It’s been with me tarping roofs, flood and fire damage losses, and its had a-lot of windshield time with me as Im hauling equipment around the SC. Maintenance is simple. At the end of the day I rinse it, throw it in the washing machine as needed, and let it air dry. It gets stiff when it’s completely dry, but a quick re-wet softens it right back up. Super easy. Im currently working on getting my company to get all the field guys one. If you work outside in this heat, this is something to cool down fast with, this towel is worth it. It’s simple, effective, and has held up with all Ive put it through. Highly recommend!
