I've been using this thing for about two years now and it works pretty well. It's not fabric, but a type of really thin ... foam rubber, for lack of a better description. When dry, it is stiff like cardboard and will actually crack. When wet, it acts just like fabric except it holds water better. Not as drippy. Think "Shamwow" (the old As-Seen-On-TV chamoise). I keep mine in my lunchbag near my icepack, then late afternoon, when I need it, it's ice cold. Gets me through 45 minutes in a 100 degree warehouse. Does absorb body heat where it touches the back of my neck, but I just refold it for a cold corner. Looking to buy another one, as I've about worn this one out.
