Great idea, but very high maintenance

Owned it for a couple years. It worked with corn or large pellets only. Milo will pool at the bottom and stop it from working at all. Dust build up does the same. Worse, because it never clears itself entirely (the bottom 3 inches of corn will never be pushed out), you'll get weevils in the corn. That promotes dust which very quickly pools at the bottom so the screw stops taking corn up and it stops working entirely. To fix it you have to empty it and vacuum out the couple inches of corn dust. Once the weevils get in there, you won't get them out and you'll end up having to clean it out monthly in order for it to keep working. Easy to fill and a great solar charger, but it was a pain in the tail. I eventually gave mine away and went back to my gravity barrel with spinner.

    I purchased 2 of these and had them set up in no time. After attaching the tire and some hook stakes to keep them in place. We filled them and set the timer.. After 2 days 1 of the feeders add been moved about 3 feet and out from under the stakes.. Other then bear paw prints there was no damage to the feeder... Very happy inded
