Q: Can I use my solar panel with this unit?

Q: Would this work for chicken feed, crumbles and/or pellets?

- A: Hi there, If it is comparable to with a kernel of corn, then it should work, but the Tomahawk VL does throw out feed in a 360 degree circle. For crumbles and really the feed or pellets, you may want to check out the Shakedown Feeder, #74000. This unit has an adjustable bottom plate to compensate for any of these feed options and drops the feed in a pile below the feeder unit versus throwing it out rapidly. There is also a Shakedown XL with a larger capacity, #73500.3 years agoHelpful?

- A: This Tomahawk VL Game Feeder is a timer/feeder only. It does not come with a hopper. It can mounted on the bottom of a hopper so long as the hopper has a 4" diameter hole for the funnel to match up to when installing under the hopper. If you are looking for a unit with a hopper you would want to look at item# 42100 which is this timer/feeder unit with a 150# capacity hanging hopper, or item# 42200 which is this timer/feeder with a 150# capacity tripod hopper.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is the radius of the throw on this feeder adjustable? Can it throw in a semicircle rather than a full circle? And, one last question, what is the maximum size pellet/feed that it can reliably throw? Thanks!

- A: The motor included in this unit has only one speed, so no the radius is not adjustable. This feeder throws in a full circle, and it is manufactured to throw corn or feed of similar size.3 years agoHelpful?
