The deer love it

Once I was done drilling and sealing the holes to mount the solar panel everything went together fairly easily. You have to lay it on its side to reach the connectors for the motor and the battery compartment cover makes it a little difficult to get the battery in and out. I put a short strap on it. Easy to program and after a few days the deer are starting to adapt to the schedule. Have to wait until spring to see how bearproof it is.

I purchased this F&S 200 lb deer feeder after comparing to others and similar price range. I chose this as being sturdy and quantity it holds. The quality is good. I had a guy set it up for me he liked it and asked if I would order one for him. I did. I highly recommend.

Great & Well Made Feeder for the Money

Bought this in store recently. I have years of machine shop, manufacturing and design experience so for whatever that is worth. I am impressed how well it is built. Everything fit properly, holes all lined up, steel thickness was the correct selection for this application, welds were fine and powder coating seems to be well done, time will tell on that one. It's a simple bolt together and very solid when done.
Everyone was out of the F&S solar panels so I ordered a generic 6V panel. Drilled my holes in the barrel so it mounted in line with the battery box, drilled an access hole for the wires directly under that. Fed in the wires and metal sleeve, cut several feet off as it was far too long and then added the correct connectors for the timer wire spades, siliconed the holes for good measure. I like the battery box inside at the top, wires are all internal and sleeved, this and the spinner cage will keep coons from tearing up anything. Digital controls are simple and all you need, straight forward. I'd buy another and probably will.

Well Worth The Money!

Absolutely worth the money! Very well built, the lid stays on, and spreader has been very reliable.
One of the things I did notice is when using a pellet protein/corn combo, the pellets will swell up (when humid and/or wet during inclement weather) and bind/block up the feeder from distributing. We went to straight corn and didn’t have an issue.
