I wanted to love it, but…

I really wanted to love the EZ Self-watering tomato planter, but it just did not live up to the standards I’d come to expect from Vego. It was fun to unpack and assemble and looked great once built. However, I used it for only one Midwest growing season on my patio (May-October) and by mid-summer, it had already lost a wheel even though moving it was very minimal, and the trellis kept popping apart. At the end of the season, several of the trellis connectors were quite brittle and actually broke apart so that the trellis can no longer be used.

No replacement options for the trellis

I've provided previous criticism of this planter, but recently, I broke the plastic connectors and bent the aluminum poles of the included trellis. I was disappointed to find that you can NOT purchase replacement parts for the trellis. It would be such a simple accessory item to purchase, considering they sell the same planter without the included trellis. Make it happen Vego.

Not just a tomato cage

Love, this Item. Makes watering super easy and I don't have to fuss with the dirt.
I uploaded a video of my avocado tree that I have growing in this pot. It's about a foot away from the ceiling. May have to cut it soon. Not likely to bear fruit, but it's beautiful to watch it grow.
