Q: I have an '08 Chevy silverado and bought Voyager brake controller # 9030c and universal harness # 8506920. Silverado has red/gray , orange , white, green / white and blue wires. Only 4 wires on harness. What wires go to which harness wire.

- A: Thank you for your question! Here is the response from the manufacture. Speaking with the Electrical engineering manager, this is the best response we can give. Please keep in mind, these products aren’t designed to be installed by a beginner or even novice person. Ultimately we would recommend having them installed by a professional. You will have to test the red/gray, orange, white, green/white and blue wires to know what to hook to our harness. For our harness, the wire colors are as follows: Black = Constant power Red = Power when the brakes are applied Blue = Brake output to the 7-Way White = Ground (most likely) This being said, 3 of the 4 wire colors on our harness match the Silverado harness colors. But we advise you to test all of the wires and match them up accordingly.5 years agoHelpful?
