Misleading advertising of results and coverage

I bought 3 10K bags of this product naively believing that it would really help turn my lawn dark green in 3 days and much to my chagrin, it did not. I was also particularly fond of the coverage rate on 10,000 sq ft on the front of the bag, while on the back of the bag, it states that for "BEST RESILTS" you must increase the coverage rate from 3.25 to 3.75. This is shoddy advertising from a company I used to admire for its' quality.

The most common reason a lawn does not respond to fertilizer is soil pH. Soil pH must be between 5.5-7.5 for fertilizer to be absorbed by the grass. You may wish to perform a soil pH test. If the lawn isn't receiving at least an inch of water per week, then the lawn will not green up as fast. Thatch over 1/2" thick prevents the nutrients from getting to the plant roots. When mowing, be sure mower blades are sharp and do not remove more than 1/3 of the grass blade at a time. Cutting more than that or having dull blades rips the grass causing browning of tips.

No geen up in 3 days

I put max green max 3 on my front yard, watered it in good first day and then watered by hand for a week hoping to see some extra green in the area's that were a bit brown, Have seen anything yet. The yard is still the same. I wonder if I can put anything else on now that I used this brand.

I have had a wonderful growing year with Scotts Green Max. My front lawn is St. Aug.. In my backyard there is a mix of centipede, bahia and bermuda ( each type dominates different areas at different time--My central Florida lawn stays growing for about 10 months a year. The spring drought in central Florida got the growing season off to a slow start. Spring rains and this product got my lawn roaring back. For the last several years, I have used Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S with fantastic results (especially weed control). However I don't like to use Bonus S around my trees and shrubs and I shouldn't use it on the bermuda grass that grows so well on the large septic mound in my yard.The rest of my lawn is . That is where Green Max comes in. This year I used Green Max to target those areas and I have been especially pleased with my lawns performance this year. Practical considerations I appreciate with this product are that it is relatively low dust, spreads evenly (using a broadcast spreader), stored product holds up well to humidity and has way less odor than any competing products I have used.

There may be one other product as good...maybe like 1% better. But you're never going to find it in stock outside of Wisconsin. Now that I've discovered Green Max, it's going to be on my bi-monthly routine!

Disappointing result

The product was delivered on 2/10 and although I live in FL, it was too early to apply right away. I spread the lawn food on 3/6. Today 4/16 after 6 weeks the result is very meager. My automatic sprinklers water 3 days a week, but it may still have been too dry for the product to work properly? Based on today's result I cannot write a positive review,

I had to delay applying due to heavy rains and re-sodding. Finally got a chance to apply it and it works as advertised! Beautiful green and getting greener! My neighbor is probably not too happy that mine looks so much greener than his!

Makes a great impact on the strength of the grass. Greens up quick. Easy flow out of bag and does not clump. That means it will distribute properly in drop spreaders and waste is virtually non-existent. Easy instructions. Used on 10K sq.ft. lawn.

Deeper Greening

I live in Tampa Fl. and my grass was already pretty green, I applied it 10 days ago I really did not see any difference after 3 days but now after 10days the grass is more deeper green. As I stsed the grass was green before the Green Max It's hard to tell in the pictures but it is a deeper green now.

I live in Northwest Florida and used the Scotts Green Max formula on my Bermuda grass. After just a few days, I saw green emerging below the brown dormant grass! I have a very small lawn and had some left in the bad, so I will definitely be using it again in the Spring!

I applied on February 24 and 2.5 weeks later definitely a healthier lawn. Very pleased with Scotts Green MAX Lawn Food. Hopefully the photos will come up in order. But if not the greener grass is 2.5 weeks post application.

Noticed deeper green in the grass about five days after application. Lawn seemed to respond well to the extra iron in the fertilizer with no burning. I followed the instructions on the bag and it worked as advertised.

I applied this product to my zoysia lawn the week of 2/15/2021, just before a short rain. Zoysia grass in Florida browns up in the winter, within days my lawn was visibly greener. It works! This product provides visual proof it works.

I recently spread Scott's Green Max on my front lawn, we received a nice rain the day after application. Very surprised at how quickly the yard started greening up from the brown winter grass of a colder than usual winter. Green Max, rain, and a few warm days made a big difference in the appearance of my lawn.

I applied Scotts Green Max 3 days ago to my Empire Zoysia grass. I wanted to put the feed before Spring to Jumpstart the grass out dormant status. Within two days the grass was green and seeds started sprouting.

The 10,000 square-foot bag of the Scott’s miracle grow lawn food looks like it’s doing a great job. I put it down it rained and I watered once and within seven days the lawn did Get very green. I would definitely recommend this product
