Rated 4 out of 5 by from The primary seed I use in my feeders Great option for feeding the birds. No shells so you can use near porch or deck with no shells to clean up. The birds love it. It's the primary see that I use in my bird feeders. I get this brand every few weeks, keep residual in a loaded bucket and it's always fresh and ready to go when I need it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Variety of Birds I've tried many different types of seeds, and the birds definitely like these sunflower hearts the best. The hearts attract the most variety of birds and it's great fun watching them at the feeders.

I have been buying this product for years. Not only has the seed been steadily increasing in price, the quality is decreasing. There is now so much dust, webs from infestation and actually moths in each bag I buy. What is going on?

Asked by: OldCrow
Meal moths can occur in wild bird food or any natural grain product in hot, humid weather. Meal moths will not hurt the birds, but obviously unpleasant for the consumer. The insect reproduces very fast. If the product was in this condition when the product was purchased, it should be returned to the store for exchange.

I have been buying this produce for years with no problem, but in the past year everything under the feeders are covered in a thick layer of skin from the seed. If this doesn't change I will no longer purchase this product.

Is there any manufacture or expiration dates on your packages of bird seed, sunflower hearts, etc. ?

Asked by: jerthebear
Yes, there are expiration dates on our product. It can be found either on the back of the bag by the UPC code or maybe on the top or bottom tabs on the bag. Depending on the which of plants the product was produced in it may be in different locations. The date would look something like this: 6/15/18 M1D.
