Royal Wing Sunflower Hearts, 20 lb. is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 144.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goldfinches galore! The birds in my yard, and unfortunately the squirrels love this seed. It is pricey, but worth it to me as it leaves no residue...shells...all over my deck. I also feed it in a feeder enclosed in a cage, so large birds can’t gobble it up. It attracts dozens of goldfinches, chickadees, titmice, and sparrows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BIRDS ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE!!!!! I have a lot of birds and they all love these (the squirrels do too, I have a special feeder for them). I go through 1 bag every 2 weeks - so glad that Tractor Supply carries them

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Birds eat all sunflower seeds and leave no shells. I buy the sunflower hearts to put in my feeder at my backdoor so that there will not be any seed shells on the sidewalk. The birds eat every bit of it. The only drawback is that it's pricy compared to the 40 pound black oil sunflower seed. But it's less expensive than buying smaller bags of sunflower hearts at other stores. The birds are my "pets" (I have no pets) so it's like buying food for your pets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best seed value, birds love it! The birds love these kernels, especially the cardinals, and there’s no mess of shells left all around the feeders. A 20-pound bag lasts twice as long as the 50-pound bag of seeds in the shell.

I have been buying this product for years. Not only has the seed been steadily increasing in price, the quality is decreasing. There is now so much dust, webs from infestation and actually moths in each bag I buy. What is going on?

Asked by: OldCrow
Meal moths can occur in wild bird food or any natural grain product in hot, humid weather. Meal moths will not hurt the birds, but obviously unpleasant for the consumer. The insect reproduces very fast. If the product was in this condition when the product was purchased, it should be returned to the store for exchange.

I have been buying this produce for years with no problem, but in the past year everything under the feeders are covered in a thick layer of skin from the seed. If this doesn't change I will no longer purchase this product.

Is there any manufacture or expiration dates on your packages of bird seed, sunflower hearts, etc. ?

Asked by: jerthebear
Yes, there are expiration dates on our product. It can be found either on the back of the bag by the UPC code or maybe on the top or bottom tabs on the bag. Depending on the which of plants the product was produced in it may be in different locations. The date would look something like this: 6/15/18 M1D.
