No scent at all. Squirrels won’t eat them.

I normally buy a different brand in the 5 lb bags but saw these at my local Tractor Supply and couldn’t pass them up because it’s a great price. However, after opening the box I immediately noticed that they have no scent at all. Usually when you open a bag or box you’re hit with that scent, like when you open a jar of peanut butter. It’s like they’ve been soaked and washed off. The shells are also quite soft. I went out to my deck this morning to feed my dozen or so grey squirrels. They picked them up and some immediately dropped them, some chewed them open and took one bite, only to drop them and run off or stare at me like “what the heck?” Now I have a box of peanuts to feed the jays I guess. Definitely not buying this brand again.
