I like to shop TSC, and was looking for a wild bird seed with no milo in it. This seed looked like it would fill the bill. I put it out into my two tube feeders, and the birds liked it for a while, but then stopped. When I investigated why they stopped, I discovered that the dried cherries were clogging up the feeder. One of the feeders had ports large enough that the cherries could be eaten out of them. The other feeder had a brace near the bottom where the cherries got stuck. My way out of the problem was to CAREFULLY fill the feeder by looking at the ingredients as they went into the hopper. If I found a cherry, I pulled it out. Needless to say I need to change my bird seed choice as It was too difficult to examine all the seed. I would have returned the bag, but I had emptied it into a container and no longer had the bag. That said, it IS a good seed, just not for my feeder.

Great special treat for my chickens

Good blend of fruit, nuts, and seeds without a lot of filler (I’m looking at you, millet) that no self respecting bird wants, at a reasonable price. Less costly than shelled sunflower hearts, which is the best bird seed in my experience, but which can break the bank in short order.
