This very sturdy and is well designed. It was fairly easy to put the run together for 2 people. Tractor Supply put the coop together for us. I can't wait to get my chickens and Guinea fowl.

I was able to assemble this coop mostly by myself, though I did need a second pair of hands to help lift and secure the top of the run. I highly recommend using a power driver, as it makes securing the self-tapping screws much easier. Pay very close attention to the base during assembly; the instructions were unclear regarding orientation, and I ended up having to rebuild the entire unit after installing a piece upside down. Since I live in Arkansas, I plan to add hardware cloth to the vents and swap the plexiglass windows for hardware cloth to improve airflow during our hot summers, though I’ll keep the original windows to reattach for the winter. I added a coat of water sealer to the wood to help with longevity. I also assembled and placed the coop under a lean-to to keep it out of direct rain and harsh elements, which should help protect it against our local weather conditions.. So far, so good. My chickens seem to really enjoy the extra space and freedom compared to their previous setup. I have four major coops on my property, and this one is currently housing five small chickens without any issues. It has been a great addition to the flock set ups.

The coop isn't the best quality. The metal run is pretty sturdy. Removing the plexiglass windows in the summer and adding steel mesh allows for air flow (FL). Because it is not water proof at all and leaks all over, we put the coop under a pole barn. This solved a lot of the issues we had before with water. Since we live in a sandy area, we put cattle panels under the coop and run to prevent predators from digging under. So far, (fingers crossed) it has worked. Would be nice if there was a way to open to top area for cleaning. Removing the metal trays is convenient, but the roosting bars limit the ease of removal. You will eventually end up replacing the wood siding. It is the cheapest available product. Give it a good coat of stain. If it is sitting in the weather, it certainly isn't made to last.

The metal of the coop is powder coated a very sturdy. The wood is thin and does not seem like it will last very long but I think you can replace it when that time comes. For the most part it seems well made and good design. I took off the plexiglass and put up Hardwire cloth since we're in a hot climate. But it'll be easy to put it back in the winter.
