The Zylina Modern Chicken Barn gives your flock plenty of room to nest and roam! This chicken coop has a unique design with 2 separate entrances for accessing the coop. You can enter from the rear of the coop or directly into the barn through the full-sized doors! This chicken coop gives your flock plenty of room to roam around and get fresh air while the barn is closed. Easy access to eggs, and lots of them with the six nesting bays that this chicken coop provides. The chicken barn provides ample roosting space and has room for up to 20 chickens depending on the breed and size. This marvelous coop also has 2 full sized windows for enhanced ventilation. The stylish PVC roof is designed at an angle to prevent water from collecting in the coop or nesting bays!

- A: The windows have 3 options: 1 - Windows Closed, 2 - Windows open with hardware cloth screens and 3 - windows all the way open. The hutch area is full enclosed. The wall goes all the way to the ceiling. There are 2 vents with hardware cloth coverings to allow flow through ventilation. Thank you for the questions! - A: Unfortunately, the run can not be expanded on the coop. However, the solution many coop owners use is to purchase an additional Poultry Pen. Zylina has a large version of the poultry pen (156 inches by 90 inches)...model DDP-1708B and a medium version (92 inches by 79 inches)...model DDP-1708C. The color for both pens is white which matches the Coop. Also, there are removable panels on both the coop and the pens so that the coop and pen can be connected to provide the flock more room to roam.a year agoHelpful?

- A: Thank you for the question. The 2 structures are visually compatible but would need a home made solution to connect the pen to the Chicken Barn so the chickens can move between structures. In the near future, Zylina will be adding additional removable panels to the chicken barn so that it can be connected to the poultry pen with a new product that we are calling the "Chunnel - The Chicken Tunnel". Great Coop!

Very easy to put together, two of us fully assembled it in under three hours. I would suggest having at least two people to assemble it. The coop comes stained and treated but I did add a coat of a water treatment to the outside of the coop to help add extra protection from the weather. I really like that I can add an extension pen to it to give my girls more space for foraging. It has two removable panels to add a connection tunnel to easily add a large foraging pen. The three perches in the hutch area are large enough to hold my 12 hens.

Well built and straightforward assembly

We purchased this chicken coop about 2 months ago and couldn't be happier with our purchase. My 70 year old father and I put it together in the better part of a day. We did build a level base out of 4x4 pressure treated lumber as other reviewers had mentioned, which made assembly much smoother. Overall, putting it together was pretty straightforward and not complicated. You will need a ladder and some flexibility to get the roof on. So far it has held up great in our east Texas heat, humidity, and driving Fall rains. Looking forward to the spring when our hens are old enough to utilize the nesting boxes!
