I bought this so that if my dogs are outside, they could be protected from rain and inclement weather. The day after I bought it, it rained, and the floor was full of water. There is some vent on top (which I understand for hot weather), but the placement make sit very easy for water to get in, also, when attaching the top to the bottom, it didn't close 100%, so there was a smallopening between "wall" and "floor".
No, I do not recommend this product.

It is not as insulated as I would like. It was hastily purchased for a lovely dog with no house. He loved it instantly. I put a large lawn chair cushion inside and he adapted quite well.
