Keep your outdoor dog kennel safe from the elements by installing a Retriever 5 ft. x 10 ft. Kennel Roof Cover. This roof cover protects your pet from rain, snow and sun, keeping them safe and comfortable inside their kennel. The cover is durably made from 600-denier polyester over a powder-coat tubular frame, ensuring it lasts, and it's also easy as can be to assemble. Simply snap the pieces together and strap the cover into place on top of your kennel. Compatible with the Retriever Lodge Expandable Kennel (sold separately).

Best Engineered Cover I've Seen- Well Thought Out!

Absolutely well designed. The frame is sturdy and the framework interlocks quickly with a rigid result. The fabric is also a heavy duty construction with excellent appearance and plenty of tie-down provisions. This is not like the cheap poly-tarp material that other manufacturers use I hope it lasts for a long time.

The roof cover was nothing like that illustrated on the carton or this site. It was a cheap gray plastic tarp that probably will have to be replaced sooner than later. One center pole is too long; therefore, we could only fasten the cheap tarp down on one side on the front. The roof cover does not bear the brand name, either. We were quite disappointed when we saw what had been purchased.

While assembly is easy except for the steel cable units, the physical match to the top of the kennel left a lot of sloppy fitting. The kennel panels went together without a lot of fitting, trying, and retrying unlike the roof assembly. The directions with the roof package were of little help as there were no clear diagrams for the tie downs. The Velcro attachements inside were not mentioned. At this point it looks like adding a heavy duty tarp will be needed in the near future.

Easy to at up. Very study. But if you have issues with raccoons you will need to add wire to the top of your kennel as this basically attaches with velcro strips.

I wish this small cover did not have drainage hole

I gave a 4 star for the 5 ft. x 10 ft. cover because of the grommet holes. Although the description mentions the grommet holes, I completely missed it. Notice how the picture does not illustrate these said drainage holes.
The claim is the grommets prevent water from pooling on the cover. A cover this small, when properly installed does not need drainage holes. I bought this cover (and some Retriever kennel panels) to keep our wild kitty's winter housing and food set up dry. With a kennel/kitty shelter this narrow at only 5 ft wide, you can't afford to loose the space along the side panels. I have found a way to plug the holes to maximize the use of our kitty shelter.
Other than that, with some assistance, this 5 ft. x 10 ft. Roof Cover was easy to install and is a perfect addition to our Retriever Kennel.
