The Nutrena SafeChoice Senior Molasses-Free Horse Feed is a molasses-free, controlled starch formula for older horses and hard keepers that is nutritionally balanced with high fat, balanced omega-3 and -6 fatty acid levels. This horse feed is a complete feed that you can trust to provide whole horse nutrition to your senior horses. It features Topline Balance to support topline health and muscle, as well as Nutri-Bloom Advantage for easier nutrient absorption. I decided to try my most senior horse on nutrena senior because he has been struggling to keep weight and condition in the texas heat even with good hay. It has already made improvements in weight and his coat in a short time, hes had previous founder issues and i dont mind feeding this i know its safe for him. The only thing I don't love is the price, i cant afford to feed it to all three of my horses so i have the other 2 on a cheaper feed, unfortunately they want to steal the old mans feed now that he has something different so ive had to take him off feed him separately and stand guard. Wish the price were lower so i could feed them all a better quality feed like this.

Have a 22 yr old 16 hand 84" from center chest to center tail HARD KEEPER QH and my 10 yr old QH on this they love it , and without molasses in it, doesn't make either of them HOT (Crazy) like Proforce FUEL did without being working stock they had too much energy 😜

Fantastic for older equines especially on low sugar/starch diets.

I have an animal sanctuary with 26 equines (horses, donkeys and mules.) Our older equines love this product. It keeps them in good body condition and is easily fed with or without hay pellet mash. Great for giving medications also. We mix it with a bit of water for our donkey who chokes on dry feed. The fragrance is appealing and the consistency is always fresh and not clumpy. Best of all, it's one of few products without sugar/molasses so our Cushings equines can have it also. People are always amazed how we maintain very old horses in great body condition, and this product really helps them look great.
