The surface grinder for those who need maximum capacity. The G3155 8" x 20" Surface Grinder will take care of your high-precision, industrial-grade grinding and resurface metallic workpieces to create high-tolerance flat surfaces.

The large dials and fine thread screws yield maximum precision with the column dial having 0.001" Res/Rev 0.05" and the cross dial having 0.001" Res/Rev 0.1".

The flood coolant system offers many benefits including reducing the possibility of distortion of the workpiece from overheating, preventing the wheel from clogging, shorter grind times, longer wheel life and keeps the air in your shop free from grinding dust.

The body and base are constructed of durable cast-iron to provide the stiffness to reduce vibration expected from a high-precision machine.

The included diamond dresser is used to true the grinding wheel, ensuring high-precision results.

Secure your workpieces to the included 7-7/8" x 15-3/4" magnetic chuck.

Like all Grizzly surface grinders, the G3155 comes with a 1-year warranty which covers parts and assures the unit is free from factory defects. (Consumables are not covered by the warranty.)

    First grinder. Seems like a good machine.

    I bought this to convert the stone wheels into a 2/72. I used grizzly's 2x72 arm because I have one on the bench so I just fabricated a collar mount with the receiver and I can switch the belt arm from one machine to another. The coolant system runs great but it clogs and will overflow. So I added some cheap sink drain inserts to the cycle and it's good now. I'm running a 5hp phase converter in my garage. Tried a inverter for speed control bit wasn't happy. Phase converter is definitely the way to go for getting all this things grunt out. It's true enough to do my job down to .2mm and I hand finish from there. So maybe not the best reference if you're looking for someone who goes into crazy spec. It's built well, had it since 2019. I keep the table bearings and basically anything that moves dripping in lube and run mobile 1 way oil. The coolant system runs an additive that has prevented any rust for forming at all. I think it's rad. Works for me and I think it's simple enough to service. I did take the rear cover off and have a fan that circulates the air behind the machine. I run it for hours at a time so I needed to get better cooling. Only other thing I added was a box air filter on top that has the filter side right by my 2x72 head. It does great at grabbing anything that gets away from the coolant. Jp
