- A: 2-3/4" is the length of the keyed portion of the shaft. Beyond that there is about 1" of collar to where the shaft enters the engine. Or 1/2" of clearance to the mounting hub with bolt holes that surrounds the shaft.3 years ago

Just open the box and the first thing you see is a letter welcoming you to the family and two owners manuals one is a general service manual but the other has a complete introduction to the engine and how to start up and maintain the engine and even how to store it definitely a good thing to have if you’re just getting into the small engine world like myself
