"pellets" is generous, tons of powder.

I typically run my layer pellets through a sieve before feeding to my chickens; I find that the fine powder can clog my gravity feeder if I don't. I ran this 40 lb bag of feed through a sieve and a full EIGHT pounds of it was fine powder. And there was a lot of small crumbles left that didn't pass through the sieve. You may save a few bucks buying this bag, but in reality there is at least 20% less food than advertised! I won't buy this brand again.
