How It Works

LONGRANGE (eprinomectin) is a macrocyclic lactone antiparasitic that binds selectively to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels in parasites' nerve and muscle cells, causing paralysis and death. LONGRANGE uses THERAPHASE technology to control parasites for up to 150 days in a single dose.1

Cautions/Precautions

Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
Restricted Drug (California) - Use only as directed.
Not for intravenous or intramuscular use.
Avoid use in unapproved species.
Observe cattle closely for injection-site reactions.
Underdosing may lead to ineffective treatment and parasite resistance.
LONGRANGE has been developed specifically for use in cattle only. This product should not be used in other animal species.

Storage

Store at 77°F (25°C); excursions permitted from 59-86°F (15-30°C).
Protect from light.
Use proper dosing equipment; discard bottle after 15 punctures.
100-mL bottle: Use only polypropylene syringes.
250- and 500-mL bottles: Use only automatic syringe equipment provided by Boehringer Ingelheim.

How Its Sold

LONGRANGE (eprinomectin) is a prescription-only product, available in three ready-to-use glass bottle sizes. The 100-, 250- and 500-mL bottles contain sufficient solution to treat 20, 50 and 100 head of 550-lb. cattle, respectively. The 250- and 500-mL bottles are supplied in a removable plastic protector.
