Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love it/Cows love it I buy those as a late fall/winter supplement, as I have plenty of good pasture in spring and summer. Cows don't seem to have any problem using their teeth to scrape it out when it is try. Hut Fall and winter is humid enough here that it dissolves a very thin top layer of the supplement only. It remains solid underneath and does not turn the whole bucket into mush. One person state that it didn't last long enough, I think he said he put out 1 bucket for 60 cows. We have 4 cows and they went through the first bucket in about 3 weeks. Once we put the second and 3rd buckets out, they no longer gorged themselves, but converted to a a regular intake. Now, that they know there is always a bucket available, it seems that a buckets lasts our 4 cows for about a month. We also feed good quality alfalfa hay. 3 of the 4 cows are bred and they are looking really good this winter, well filled out and healthy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pack on the lbs I buy these for my beef cattle. Helps them pack on the lbs in a pasture type environment when bigger cattle push away the smaller ones for feed.

Is this safe for horses?

Asked by: CJAN
We do not recommend the 24%-4% for Horses, since it contains Non-Protein Nitrogen. (Horses cannot utilize NPN since it is excreted thru the Urinary System) Horses can only utilize approx. 16% or less Protein.

Is it okay for sheep

Asked by: pjmadrid
It is not recommended for sheep because this product contains supplemental copper. The TSC General Purpose 16% “All-Natural” 125# Tub is recommended. Sheep utilize it more efficiently and it contains no supplemental copper.

can these tubs be fed to dairy cattle

Asked by: jeff cronin
No, there are certain restrictions and guidelines regarding Selenium levels in milk used for human consumption, and this product should not be fed to lactating dairy cattle.Due to the Selenium content in the formula, this product is only labeled for all classes of beef cattle and for “non-lactating” dairy heifers (Livestock does require Selenium at certain levels).
