Three out of these cups worked as described. One was faulty. As long as the chickens don't push a wood chip under the cup, the water will stop at the fill line. It is very easy for the water to keep flowing out of the cup if the chickens push anything underneath. I ended up putting my bucket on a cement block. Also, the description says it comes with instructions, which it did not, it came with a QR code to a link that had vague directions, especially since the package came with two types of washers, which weren't specified in the online instructions.

Chickens prefer these to the ones with the little arm inside. The cups still get dirty but thats the chicken life.
