This American FarmWorks 656 ft. x 180 lb. Polywire Electric Fencing is lightweight and easy to install, repair and splice. The electric fence wire comes on a 656-ft. (200 m) spool and contains 6 strands of electrical conductors. It will not rust and has a breaking load of 180 lb. for durability. Please note that this American FarmWorks polywire is not designed to function under extreme tension and must be used in conjunction with a permanent fence.

Very temporary
a year ago
This polywire breaks at least once per week. It's 6 strand the heavier gauge lasts longer in UV light. I walk my fence everyday I have 2 to runs of poly one 6 strand & 1 3 strand, the 3 strand heavier gauge lasted 3yrs before a break. I do recommend the heavier but the 6 strand doesn't last long, 6 months.

Used to run a line of electric fence at the top of my no climb horse fence to keep my horses from playing over the fence and leaning on it. This polywire worked perfectly with the charger and gave my horses a nice zap to remind them to respect the fence.
