Is this tank suitable for long term potable water storage (human consumption)?

Asked by: Itcharus
All of our tanks are suitable for potable water with the exception of any tank with yellow resin. Tanks specifically designed for above ground use cannot be put underground. If it is put below ground, the weight of the earth around the tank will cause the walls to collapse.

I have a submersible 3/4 hp Red Jacket water pump for my home and I want to replace my 300 gallon galvanized tank. Will this 305 gallon polyethylene tank hold with the pressure the pump will create? Please let me know. Thank you !!

Asked by: JKMorrell
Hi JK, You can use a submersible pump in our tank, but you'll need to make sure that it is vented to atmosphere. Feel free to call me if you have any questions. Thanks, Bob 952-446-8807

What affect will the high temperatures of the AZ Desert have on the water stored in this container due to the dark color & material? More Directly: How Hot will the stored water get with Direct Sunlight & 90-115 degree temps?

Asked by: Wolfdancer
We cannot specifically answer this question. We do sell many Norwesco tanks in the desert SW, and although the tanks state that the maximum operating temperature of 120 degrees F, higher temperatures such as that in the desert are expected. With Hot, stagnant water, forming algae will be your main issue.
