- A: This tank comes standard from the factory with a 2” female NPT (National Pipe Thread) fitting to connect to. If you want to connect a standard garden hose up to this connection then you will need to start with a 2” male NPT and will need a combination of items to get down to a ¾” GHT.a year agoHelpful?

- A: Hi GayleLynn, This is what I received from our vendor- Based on information that distributors and customers have given us, to prepare the tank for painting, wipe it down with a paint thinner to remove any oily residue. The paint that seems to adhere the best is an automotive urethane which is commonly used to paint car bumpers. Keep in mind that over time, as a tank expands and contracts, the paint will usually crack and will need to be reapplied. Norwesco and Tractor Supply accepts no responsibility for any detrimental effect that paint may have on the tank.3 years agoHelpful?
