Great pump

I recently purchased 2 of the pumps, one for transferring motor oil and the other for hydraulic fluid from 5 gallon buckets. The pumps work great. Much better then the mess from funnels etc.

Cover sucks, pump works good

I bought the pump to make my life easier transferring 5 gallons of trans fluid into a reservoir 13 feet in the air. Unfortunately, the cover wouldn't fit on the ATF bucket. Checked to see if it would fit on any of the other buckets around and it was about an ⅛ inch too small to fit around them. The pump itself worked great, as long as you remember to tighten everything down on it before you use it.

A lot of complaints about leaks from the shaft. I too had the same issue first time I used the pump with 15W40 diesel oil. I found that the flair nut around the pump shaft just needs to be snugged down a little, and boom! No more leak. Lid fit great for me on a bucket of Rotella T6. Just gotta push it down over the lip with the slightest amount of persuasion. Would give five stars if it had no leak from the get go.

What I like: transfers fluids from a 5 gal bucket What I don't like: huge leak at the shaft. fit to the bucket is not a seal, but yet difficult to make fit. definitely do NOT recommend this unless you want to clean up a mess running down the side of your bucket of fluid.
