The GPI 8 GPM G8P Portable Fuel Transfer Pump is ideal for on the go fueling for off-road and marine vehicles, landscaping, light industrial, and more. It features a rotary gear design, a 12VDC motor, delivering gas station equivalent flow rates (up to 8 GPM (30 LPM)) for gasoline, diesel fuel and kerosene. Made from durable, lightweight cast aluminum, this fuel transfer pump is 20% lighter than similar portable pumps, and its comfort grip handle provides increased maneuverability when you need it most. It's motor is U.L. Listed to U.S. and Canadian safety standards and comes with a 2 year warranty.

Q: What happens to the gasoline in the hose, pump, once your done filling something up and shut off the pump?

- A: When the pump is turned off, there will still be fuel in the suction hose and the discharge hose. After the pump is turned off, lift the pump higher than the vessel that is pulling the fuel and the fuel that is in the hoses and pump will drain back into the gas can or drum that is being used.6 years agoHelpful?

You have to buy filters separately most of them come with 1” NTP this pump is 3/4” NTP

After buying several manual pumps with very little to no success i have decided to spend the money on it. Glad i did, makes transferring fuel painless. As advertised it pumps as fast as station pumps. I highly recommend this product!

GPI G8P Portable Fuel Transfer Pump

Product is exactly what I am looking for, I have tried many different hand pumps and what a waste of money on them, they take up so much time if the tank is lower than where you are filling. Also with manual pumps due to smaller lines flow is much slower. This pump is as stated flow same as gas station pumps. I had 24 gallon tank filled with gas which I transfer to a car and it completely transferred it in about 10 minutes. I am very impressed with it and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to transfer fuel. Quiet, simple and quick transfer of fuel from one tank to the next. Since it's a portable pump easy to move it around as needed. The only thing negative about this pump is the screen filter that goes into the tank. It's a bit large to fit inside the tank I was transferring fuel from. Hope they would have just made a screen inside the hose or smaller screen filter for it.

Assembled and tried it out and it worked great. I added an in-line cartridge fuel filter before pump to protect the unit. Seems to work very nicely.
