As I do not eat this, I can only speak on behalf of my hens. One hen said a hearty, low “Baaaaaaaaaaawk” and ticked her head to the right. That’s usually high praise. Another hen ran very quickly to the feeding area and then realized it wasn’t her favorite dried corn but after a few minutes, she also was pecking her way through.This food is even approved by the hen when I interrupted her broody behavior and stole her egg. It seems enough protein to promote egg laying although my girls typically roam the yard and grab bugs and greens to supplement.

Overpriced. Should be 50lbs. It’s got smaller pellets also. I purchased this because the dark blue pellet bag is always out of stock. it’s a sufficient replacement in a pinch. “MAXX” is a stretch.
