What a great feeder! This model has a ton of pros aside from its squirrel-proof design, but my favorite feature is how easy it is to fill! The top is very accessible and comes off effortlessly, so if you have any grip or strength issues, you'll love this. The tube is nice and wide, so pouring in seed is super easy too. It holds a lot, so you won't be refilling constantly. It's also a breeze to set up! I also love that the feeding ports and perches are not only big enough for my bluejays and cardinals, but that the squirrel proof feature isn't activated by these larger birds. It absolutely is effective against squirrels, as the ones in my yard have already given up trying to raid it.

Okay so ever since we put a bird feeder in the back squirrels have found it and have basically taken it away from the birds no matter where we move it the squirrels get to it and they eat everything. This is a different type of bird feeder though it feels the weight of the squirrel and pushes down closing the port to be able to get any food! It only works when it feels the weight though, so make sure to not place it next to anything that a squirrel could stand on and then reach over and eat out of it, because squirrels are very tricky like that. So far so good! The birds have been enjoying it, the indoor cats have been enjoying watching the birds in the window! And, the squirrels have not found it yet! Fingers crossed when they do they will not like it because they will not be able to get any food and they will move on. I was so happy to be able to find a different type of feeder so that the birds actually can enjoy it without the squirrels stealing everything!
