Q: We own 3 and LOVE these. However, we need replacement chains after a heavy racoon or possibly a bear got to two of them and mangled the chains. Where do I buy replacement chains? I called TS toll free customer service, was told to call the Mfr, no answer.

The one we bought under the same name at Tractor Supply didn't use eyehooks on the sides as pictured, but had holes in both the inner bowl lip and the bottom of the grid underneath to pass the chain through. The package we have looks exactly like the picture, but the design has changed as seen in the picture below. There is no way to remove the tray to convert from bird bath to seed tray without taking the chains completely off and threading them back through the bowl which isn't that easy of a task. The chains passed fairly easily through the bowl lip, but two of the three took pliers to pull them through the grid base. The holes were drilled too small and I tried for a while. You can't just bypass the holes in the rim of the bowl because the chain wouldn't clear the bowl with the new design. I would have preferred the design as pictured. I like the other Royal Wing products, but not this one. I'll keep it and use it for a bird bath but don't buy it if you plan to switch back and forth.
