Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features! I bought this birdfeeder about a month ago to replace a feeder from which the squirrels were able to feed. This feeder prohibit squirrels feeding with a large baffle at the top. The large tray around the bottom of the feeder is nice for the birds to be able to sit to eat. This feeder attracts a wide range of wild birds and is attractive.

Does No/No Red Cardinal mean cardinals can't access this even though they are shown in the picture? Or does Red Cardinal mean the color. If cardinals can access, maybe the name should be changed. It sounds like cardinals are prohibited somehow from use.

Asked by: ProductNameIsDeceptive
No/No is the brand name for the company that makes this product. Cardinals can use this feeder.

Does this have opening to let the seed through other than through the mesh? Can you use other seed in it? Does it have drain holes in the tray area to let rain water out?

Asked by: Carol W
The only access to the seed for the birds is through the mesh, we recommend only using black oil sunflower seed, and there are tiny holes in the tray to help drain water.
