SUPER bird feeder!!

Got one for my Mom who was spending $40 a week to feed the squirrels. It works! We watch the squirrels try to rob it and fall off onto the ground...great entertainment in itself. After a few days the birds get used to it and fly in to feed anyway.
This is a nice setup which should last many years since it is heavy duty metal construction. I fill it one a week--not several times a day, like the old feeders.
Id suggest this feeder to anyone who has squirrel freeloader problems.

Best feeder every

Is it squirrel proof? I don’t know but I’ve never seen a squirrel on this feeder, I’ve had them on all the others. I have 5 feeders, three from the jungle website and two from box stores. This is my favorite by far. First it holds the most food so it’s never empty when I make my rounds filling them. But, most importantly, I have never had water get in this one. We’ve had heavy spring rains since it’s been up and it’s the only feeder that does not develop clumps of wet seed. It’s been up for at least 8 months.
I have had one problem, the metal pice that ties the loop in the cable let one end loose. It happened during my refilling the feeder so it did not fall. I tied a loop in the cable and it’s been fine since. Still my favorite feeder. It also looks as good as the day we bought it, just filled them all yesterday.
One from the jungle website has started rusting but not this one.
Yes, I recommend this product.

If you buy this item be sure to recrimp the metal swedges that crimp the cable together. My feeder was poorly made and upon the first hanging with the full weight of seeds in it, the cable slipped and dropped the feeder to the ground wasting seed and bending the feeder.. also since fixing it and hanging it, NOTHING goes near it, birds or squirrels. I would make a different choice if I were you.

Got it to feed the birds, but it’s killing them.

I’m a huge outdoor/nature lover. I am an animal lover since childhood. I bought this bird feeder thinking great it is large, can hold a decent amount a bird food and it’s anti squirrel. This was quickly turned tragic. At this point not one but 4 birds have managed to go inside and get stuck. One of which a birds claw got stuck in the anti squirrel component. The last of the 4 birds was lucky. My dog alerted me to it and I released it before it came to the same fate as the others. I’m leaving this review to let the company know they gotta do better. There should be a redesign or a recall.

Used for feeding my Squirrels

I love this "squirrel-resistant barn bird feeder" and so do my squirrels. I use this specifically for the squirrels in my yard. They love it as well.
Also, TSC is the only place that sells this. I have no idea what I am going to do if you ever stop selling it. This is the 3rd one I have purchased.
