Used to be good but something has changed

I have used this particular bird feeder for years and have never had an issue. However, I bought 3 new feeders a week ago, filled them with black oil sunflower seed as usual and hung them in the same spot to replace the old ones. Something is definitely wrong with the new ones. Somehow all of the sunflower seeds are ending up uneaten all over the ground. There's usually about half a feeder by the end of the day, and now by early afternoon they are all completely empty, seeds uneaten on the ground. I put up an old one next to a new one to compare. The old is just fine, but still the new one is losing whole seeds rapidly. They look exactly the same, but something is obviously wrong. I'm probably going to return them and now I'll have to switch brands. But buyer beware if that happens to yours, it isn't normal.

I had the same problem as kmasta

I also had the same experience of birds not eating at the new feeder. I figured it out that the perch was not allowing the bird to face the feeder to eat. So I glued small y shaped branches to the feeder post that are provided. Problem solved. They're eating at it all the time!

Birds are not going to it

I don't know what it is but I've had this feeder up for weeks and basically the birds aren't interested in it. This is in a spot that I had a somewhat similar feeder (a little larger as far as capacity) and it always had activity. Maybe it's the small perches or the location of the openings but so far I'm looking out my window of a feeder that never needs refiling since it's not being 'visited'. Should have bought something else.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Did not last a month

All the red plastic pieces are breaking including the one that holds the hanger at the top. Waste of money.

No, I do not recommend this product.
